Big Brown entered the Preakness Stakes at 4-0, Garrett Gomez topped $7 million earned, and Steve Asmussen was the training leader with 245 wins from 1,058 starters.

The Top Ten in winning Thoroughbreds, jockeys and trainers were led by Big Brown, Garrett Gomez, and Steve Asmussen up to Preakness Stakes weekend.

Big Brown, trained by Richard Dutrow, Jr. continued to electrify the Triple Crown world by easily winning the Preakness Sakes. Set to challenge for the first Triple Crown title in 30 years, the big brown machine goes to post next on June 7 in the third leg of the Triple, the Belmont Stakes at Belmont Park, Elmont, New York. Big Brown's earnings were at $2,676,700 before the Preakness.

Jockey Garrett Gomez has saddled 432 starters, won 83 times, and earned $7,299,406. He's brought in 71 places, and 68 shows. Big Brown's jockey, Kent Desormeaux, is just behind Gomez with 440 strarters, 81 victories, 57 seconds, and 65 thirds. His earnings topped $6 million, leveling off at $6,917,518.

Asmussen stood at earnings of $8,463,118 from 1,058 starters, 245 firsts, 175 seconds, and 144 thirds.
