Three Networks Will Carry Breeders' Cup; Male Juveniles Get Ready

A Breeders' Cup card pumped up to include 14 races this year garners full television coverage. Some top level male two-year-olds will get long scrutiny in the Juvenile.

ESPN2 picks up the first leg of television coverage for the 2008 Breeders' Cup World Championships October 24 at 3:30 pm (ET), while competitors for the Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile ready themselves for a 3:55 pm curtain call on October 25 with ESPN taking over the TV booth at 3:30 pm.

ABC will broadcast from 1:30 to 3:30 pm on Saturday.

Seven other races will be contested on October 24 and 25 when the Breeders' Cup championships take place at Oak Tree at Santa Anita Park. The entire schedule looks like this:

Although the 25th edition of the Breeders' Cup World Championships will not feature the much anticipated matchup between Triple Crown dual race champion Big Brown, who was unfortunately injured in a workout last Monday, and all world champion Reigning Horse of the Year Curlin, there is much to enjoy, including a sneak peek at the youngsters that will become 2009's hopefuls and star power attractions.
