In the BC Sprint, Midnight Lute could repeat; in the new Turf Sprint, California Flag will attempt a first; and in the Juvenile Turf, Orthodox may meet Relatively Ready.
The Breeders' Cup Sprint, new Turf Sprint, and Juvenile Turf will feature many stars and include "Win and You're In" BC race victors, such as Eclipse Award winner Midnight Lute, who will try to repeat in the Sprint against winning Street Boss, and possibly the female champion Indian Blessing.
California Flag may wave to victory in the new Turf Sprint, but will have to outstep Saeed bin Suroor-trained-Diabolical and Scott Lake schoolee True to Tradition. Other problems may arise with Rebellion, Rouse the Cat, and One Union.
It's surf and turf in the Juvenile Turf, as the surf might as well toss up a new champion. Mark Casse has a beautiful colt named Skipadate. He's a dark gray with a black mane and tail. If looks can do it, he's sure to be at the finish line. There's Coronet of a Baron, but Orthodox might be more ready to speak up than Relatively Ready. Surf's up at 1:50 pm October 25 on ABC. Jump in.

With television cameras cranking, hopefully in the sunshine this year, and new races in the mix, eligibles in the Breeders' Cup World Championships at Santa Anita Park will work to fill the spotlight with the broadly smiling faces of their connections, caretakers, and jockeys. The championships are scheduled for full coverage on ESPN2, ABC, and ESPN in alternate segments.
